BLOOMINGDALE'S
China Promotion;

Reflecting the cosmopolitan style of the city that has long been a center for international trade.
The focal dining table is a Chinese Chippendale style, made by Bloomingdale's in Spain.  Chairs are by Swaim, upholstered in fabrics by Stroheim.  A handpainted mural is by New York artist Jonathan Bressler;  the chandelier is by Metropolitan Lighting.  Leading up to the rooms, the Chinese garden Court with its street of shops include a Silk Road shop, with antique porcelains, glass paintings, wood carvings, bird cages and silk pillows, plus a highly carved  Chinese wedding bed that serves to display some of the wares.
the Eye of the Dragon is another antique shop, which introduces the Lubliner collection of antique porcelain soup spoons and the Lubliner collection of pewter and jade teapots.  The shop also includes painted boxes and trunks, foo dogs and old Chinese country pine furniture. The area also includes a Thousand Flowers shop, focusing on the Ralph Lauren Home Collection, designed especially for Bloomingdale's for the promotion.  The small room features upholstered pieces done in black faille and bed linens designed around an ancient Chinese print.
